Barcelona To Win To Nil

Reason for tip

Real Valladolid have lost five straight league games and they meet a Barcelona side who have won the last seven meetings between the pair. The visitors have conceded only 15 goals all season and they meet a Valladolid side who were beaten 3-0 in their last home game.

Barcelona 3-0

Reason for tip

Valladolid have lost by three goals at home on three occasions this term and the hosts are capable of running away with this one. They’ve won by three goals in 10 of their La Liga victories and they head to a side who have conceded at least three goals in four of their last five at home.

Valladolid vs Barcelona Predictions

  • Real Valladolid have lost five La Liga matches on the spin
  • Barcelona have won the last seven meetings between the two sides, conceding just one goal
  • The Blaugrana have conceded just 15 goals in La Liga this season

Champions aiming to bounce back

After being confirmed as La Liga champions in their last away fixture, Barcelona will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s home loss to Real Sociedad when they visit relegation-threatened Real Valladolid on Tuesday.

The Blaugrana suffered just their fourth league defeat of the season at the Anoeta, but despite suggestions they are already on the beach, they should have too much for a Valladolid side that appears to be sleepwalking towards relegation.

Friday’s 2-0 defeat at fellow strugglers Cadiz has left Valladolid in the relegation zone with three matches left to play and the omens are not good for Paulo Pezzolano and his side, as they are currently on a five-game losing streak.

History favours comprehensive Barca win

For a side that is out of form and battling relegation, the last thing Valladolid would have wanted was a home clash with the champions, especially when they have lost each of their last seven meetings with Barca by an aggregate score of 16-1.

That run includes a 4-0 victory for Xavi’s side at the Camp Nou earlier this season, with Valladolid’s last victory over their illustrious rivals coming at the Estadio Jose Zorrilla back in 2014.

Barca boast the best away record in La Liga this season, while they have also scored the most and conceded the fewest goals on their travels. That in itself is a recipe for what should be a comfortable road win for the champions.
