Vojvodina vs Dinamo Minsk Predictions & Betting Tips, Match Previews

These two sides both started out in the 1st Qualifying Round back in late June and have successfully progressed through two ties. Vojvodina, who finished 4th in the Serbian SuperLiga last season, were comfortable 6-1 aggregate winners against Bokelj in neighbouring Montenegro in the 1st round with a 5-0 win in the home leg. They were pushed a bit harder by Welsh side Connah’s Quay but still won both legs to secure a 3-1 aggregate win. This will be their biggest test yet and they are yet to make the group stage despite 6 previous appearances in the competition. However they did stun Italian side Sampdoria at this stage last year with an incredible 4-0 win in Italy.

Dinamo Minsk meanwhile have made it to this stage thanks to wins against Spartaks Jūrmala of Latvia and St. Patrick’s of Ireland. They beat the Irish side 1-0 away last week having been held to a 1-1 draw in Belarus so they aren’t exactly playing brilliant football right now. They did make the group stage last year after a win against Red Bull Salzburg in the play-off round but lost 5 of their 6 group games to exit the competition.

This has the feel of quite an even contest with the teams fairly evenly matched on paper. The side that finished 2nd in last season’s  Belarusian Premier League would be expected to progress over two legs but they won’t be too bold here and if they can get back to Minsk all square they’ll be content. There have been under 2.5 goals in their last 3 matches in the competition and given Vojvodina could only manage a 1-0 win at home to Connah’s Quay in the last round, they may struggle to trouble an organised Dinamo side.
