Watford’s relegation from the Premier League was finally confirmed on Saturday as they slumped to a 1-0 defeat at Selhurst Park and, considering their current form, a positive last hurrah for Roy Hodgson is looking rather unlikely.

The Hornets have now lost six successive games, conceding 15 times and scoring just three at the other end and things get even worse when you look at their home record. That will be music to the ears of Everton fans, who saw their team take a huge step towards securing safety with a hard-earned win at Leicester on Sunday.

This followed a massive victory over Chelsea at the start of the month, leaving them a point above the drop zone with a game in hand, a relatively easy run-in and form on their side.

Everton to pile misery on Watford

Everton’s job is far from complete, though, and the players know they will have to turn up on Wednesday and make the most of this opportunity. They have won three of their last five games and with Watford in such atrocious form backing an away win is advices.
