Watford vs Everton Predictions

  • Watford have lost each of their last six Premier League games.
  • Watford have lost their last 11 Premier League home games.
  • Everton have won three of their last five in the league, losing just once.

Hornets prepare for return to the Championship

Watford’s relegation from the Premier League was finally confirmed on Saturday as they slumped to a 1-0 defeat at Selhurst Park and, considering their current form, a positive last hurrah for Roy Hodgson is looking rather unlikely.

The Hornets have now lost six successive games, conceding 15 times and scoring just three at the other end and things get even worse when you look at their home record. They have managed just two wins all season and Vicarage Road and they haven’t picked up a single point there since November, losing each of their last 11.

Toffees look set for survival

That will be music to the ears of Everton fans, who saw their team take a huge step towards securing safety with a hard-earned win at Leicester on Sunday.

This followed a massive victory over Chelsea at the start of the month, leaving them a point above the drop zone with a game in hand, a relatively easy run-in and form on their side.

Everton to pile misery on Watford

Everton’s job is far from complete, though, and the players know they will have to turn up on Wednesday and make the most of this opportunity. They have won three of their last five games and with Watford in such atrocious form backing an away win is advices.

The hosts’ last two home defeats have both been by a 2-1 scoreline and Everton won by the same scoreline on Sunday, so that’s my correct score prediction.

Watford predicted lineup: Foster; Femenia, Cathcart, Troost-Ekong, Masina; Sissoko, Kayembe, Sema; Sarr, Dennis, King

Everton predicted lineup: Pickford; Coleman, Keane, Holgate; Iwobi, Doucoure, Delph, Mykolenko; Gordon, Richarlison, Gray

  • Both teams have scored in four of Watford’s last five Premier League home games
  • Over 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in six of Everton’s last eight Premier League away games
