Borussia Dortmund to Win

Reason for tip

Dortmund, who have now lost only one of their last 10 league meetings with Bremen, are likely to be too strong. Edin Terzic’s side and unbeaten in their last previous seven away games. They have also won five of their last seven trips to the Weser-Stadion.

Werder Bremen vs Borussia Dortmund Predictions

  • Werder Bremen have lost two of their three home league games against opponents currently in the top-5
  • Dortmund have won on their last three visits to Weser-Stadion and scored exactly two goals each time

Werder’s Euro dream is fading

Werder Bremen’s European dream was dealt a blow by Hoffenheim last weekend and the hosts could lose further ground when they come up against Champions League-chasing Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

Ole Werner’s side were on the wrong end of Maximilian Beier’s brilliant brace last weekend, although they did grab a late consolation goal once Hoffenheim had been reduced to 10 men.

After conceding the opener from a corner, Die Werderaner’s defence was opened up by pace out wide – something Dortmund have in abundance with Karim Adeyemi.

Stick with Dortmund to get the job done

Their results at home against the top five teams in the table have been letting them down too with only one point taken from the visits of Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig.

Dortmund, who have now lost only one of their last 10 league meetings with Bremen, are likely to be too strong. Edin Terzic’s side and unbeaten in their last previous seven away games and also their last seven trips to the Weser-Stadion, of which they won five.

Adeyemi, who scored a screamer in BVB’s 2-0 win at Union Berlin last weekend, is in the sort of form that suggests he could be the decisive player in the match.
