Both Teams To Score and Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

12 of West Ham’s 15 away games have gone over 2.5 goals and both teams have scored in the Hammers’ last six matches so take both teams to find the net in a game that also produces three or more goals.

Draw 2-2

Reason for tip

It’s hard to fancy either team to win this, so side with a 2-2 draw in this one. West Ham have drawn three of their last four games and Wolves have netted exactly twice in their last two home games.

Wolverhampton vs West Ham United Predictions

  • 12 of West Ham’s 15 away games have gone over 2.5 goals
  • Both teams have scored in West Ham’s last six games
  • Wolves have only kept one clean sheet in their last nine league matches

Entertaining affair on the cards

West Ham remain in seventh in the Premier League table despite a disappointing run in which they have won just two of their last 12 league games.

The Hammers suffered a 4-3 loss after leading 3-1 against Newcastle on Saturday but did follow that up with an improved performance in their 1-1 draw against rivals Tottenham in midweek.

Defence has been a real issue for the Hammers this term, they have conceded 55 times, already the same number that they allowed in the whole of last season.

This has been particularly true on the road as 12 of their 15 away games have gone over 2.5 goals and a repeat of that could be on the cards when they visit this Wolves team.

Hammers need a win

West Ham could do with three points for a number of reasons, David Moyes will want to build on his side’s stalemate with Spurs and put to bed the memory of their 4-3 defeat to Newcastle to secure a morale boosting win.

The Hammers would also ideally pick up a victory to head into Thursday’s Europa League quarter-final away to Bayer Leverkusen on a high, with Xabi Alonso’s side a tough nut to crack.

West Ham have been boosted by a number of injuries to Wolves’ best lineup, with Pedro Neto Hwang Hee-Chan and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde all likely to miss out in this clash.

Craig Dawson could return from injury but may need to hold together a back line that have kept just one clean sheet in their last nine outings.

Both teams have found the net in West Ham’s last six games and a repeat of that looks likely to be on the cards.

Both defences may be breached

Wolves and West Ham have both been struggling defensively recently, particularly the Hammers on road, so side with both teams to find the net, with over 2.5 goals also fancied to land.

It’s hard to fancy either team to secure a victory in this clash so correct score backers may side with a 2-2 draw in this one. West Ham have drawn three of their last four, one of which was a 2-2 stalemate, and Wolves have netted exactly twice in their last two home games so can play their part in an entertaining affair despite their injuries in attacking areas.
