Sunday’s Accumulator Tip
Schalke to Win
Reason for tip
Schalke may have been humbled in their Ruhr Derby defeat last weekend, but they have lost just one of their last 12 home matches in the Bundesliga and should have enough about them to see off Augsburg on Sunday. The visitors also lost on their return to action and have been on the wrong end of defeat in eight of their 13 away league games this term.
Bochum come into this away match unbeaten in their last four and harbouring one of the best attacking records in the Bundesliga 2. They face a relegation threatened Karlsruher side that have only won one of their last six home games.
Stuttgart may be chasing the Bundesliga 2 title, but the promotion hopefuls certainly don't make easy work of things away from home. They have won just three of their 13 away days this season and, with Holstein Keil losing just two of their last seven home league games, we're expecting another dent in the visitors' title aspirations.
RB Leipzig slipped up last weekend as they drew with Freiburg, but this time out they come up against a Mainz side with only four wins from their 13 home league games this term. Six of RB Leipzig's seven away wins this term have been by more than a single goal margin, and their club-record 8-0 drubbing of Mainz earlier this season cannot be ignored.
Cologne relinquished a two goal lead against Mainz last weekend, but on Sunday they face a Fortuna Dusseldorf side with just two wins from their 13 away days in the Bundesliga. Cologne, meanwhile, have shown vast improvement as the season has progressed and come into this game having lost only three of their last 12 in the league, eight of which have ended in victory. The hosts' only defeats during this period came against top four opposition, so another win could be on the cards here.
