Stuttgart 2-0

Reason for tip

Stuttgart have netted at least twice in eight of their last nine games, while keeping clean sheets in the last two, including a 2-0 victory over Union Berlin. Heidenheim have conceded at least twice in eight of their 13 away games, but failed to score in their most recent match on the road.

Stuttgart vs Heidenheim Predictions

  • Stuttgart have won eight of their last ten home matches
  • Seven of Heidenheim’s 13 fixtures on the road have ended in defeat
  • Four of Stuttgart’s last five games at The MHPArena have seen them win by 2+ goals

Stuttgart expected to rack up another win

Stuttgart head into the Easter weekend in third place in the Bundesliga, and their sensational home form plays a huge part in their lofty position in the table.

The Reds have registered ten wins in just 13 league outings at The MHPArena, with nine of those successes seeing them win by a cushion of two goals or more.

Given they head into this clash on a run of five victories from their last six games, including a 3-0 demolition of Hoffenheim before the international break, it would be no surprise to see them comfortably pick up three points here.

Heidenheim have little to play for

Trying to stop Stuttgart in their tracks are visitors Heidenheim, who have had a more than respectable debut season in the German top flight and sit well clear of the relegation places.

Their form has tapered away significantly of late though, losing three of their last five games, including 2-1 reversals against Bayer Leverkusen and Freiburg, who are both in the top six.

Results on the road do not make for pretty reading either, as Frank Schmidt’s side have been beaten in seven of their 13 away ties, four of those by a margin of two goals or more.

I predict that Stuttgart will win this game with a -1 handicap, selecting 2-0 as my correct score prediction.
