      AC Milan vs Chelsea Predictions

This match will be Milan’s penultimate friendly before the start of the new season, with a game against German side Freiburg to come next Sunday. The spacing of their fixtures means that they can give the first team a decent run out without worries about fatigue to the important players for the start of the new season.

Chelsea will also have one more friendly to play after this game, with a match against Werder Bremen this Sunday. It is likely that Conte will put out a fairly strong team to give his first team players some game time and give them less game time in the last friendly against weaker opponents Bremen.

AC Milan played a relatively strong side during their 2-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool and are likely to do the same again with gaining match fitness being the main goal of the game. The strong side that played was unable to beat an equally strong Liverpool side, so they may also face quite the struggle against fellow English side Chelsea.

Antonio Conte fielded quite a strong side as well in Chelsea’s 3-2 loss against Real Madrid. The main shock was Ruben Loftus-Cheek playing as a striker, a position that Conte believes Ruben has a lot of quality in. A similar side is likely to line up in this fixture, although a real striker is probably going to take the place of the young Loftus-Cheek.

Both managers can field strong sides without much downfall, so it should be a fairly competitive match. We expect Chelsea to win the match at 4/5, with a scoreline of 2-1 to Chelsea being quite likely.
