Football Betting Tips
Super Mega Accumulator Tip
Blackpool lost 2-1 at home to Northampton in their last league game, but they won their previous two matches by a 4-0 scoreline and should register a win and a shutout against Carlisle at Bloomfield Road. A tough survival battle awaits Carlisle, who have lost five of their last seven league matches.
Brighton have posted four wins from their last six in all competitions but they are yet to keep a clean sheet in this season’s Premier League, so back a home win and both teams to score when they play host to Burnley.
Promotion-chasing Stevenage have racked up six wins on their League One travels and they should have too much quality for Burton at the Pirelli Stadium. Steve Evans’s side are unbeaten in ten and are in far better touch than the Brewers, who have lost their last three league fixtures.
David Artell looks a smart choice as Grimsby’s new manager and he can lead his charges to victory over Crewe at Blundell Park. The Mariners performed well in the recent 1-1 draw at MK Dons and should get the better of injury-hit Crewe, who have not played since a 1-1 draw at rock-bottom Sutton.
Bristol City have had a mixed start to life under Liam Manning but they can draw a line under back-to-back losses by defeating Huddersfield at the John Smith’s Stadium. The Robins have registered three away wins this season and they can claim another at the expense of the fourth-bottom Terriers.
Swansea have gone five games without a win but they dominated last Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to Huddersfield – winning the shot count 22 to five – and may be too strong for Rotherham at the New York Stadium. The Swans felt hard done by last weekend and they can see off the second-bottom Millers. Rotherham are yet to draw a blank at home in any competition, however, so take the visitors to win and concede.
Real Sociedad have found only the big boys too much to handle in La Liga this season and there looks a decent chance they can emerge from Villarreal with a win, although both teams could score, which has happened in the Yellow Submarine’s last seven games.
Milan have scored in all their away domestic fixtures and Atalanta have only failed to score at home against Juventus, who have the second best defensive record in Serie A.
Borussia Dortmund have only lost one of their ten competitive home games this season and have won four of their last five. RB Leipzig have lost four of their last five competitive away games.
Ajax have rediscovered their collective shooting boots recently and have hit 15 goals across their last five games, with over 3.5 goals landing in four of those fixtures. Sparta have scored in each of their last six, so we’re expecting a high-scoring affair in Amsterdam.
Both Teams to Score & Win Double Tip
Getafe are unbeaten in ten home La Liga games and have won four of their last six. Their 1-0 win at home to Valencia in February made it four wins and one draw from their last five home meetings with Los Ches and the visitors are winless in seven league away days, although they have scored in each of their last four trips.
Odds-Against Win Treble Tip
Napoli were beaten 3-0 by Inter Milan last week, their third defeat in four. Juventus have won six of their last seven games and with 10 wins from 14 Serie A games this term they look good value for the win.
Getafe are unbeaten in ten home La Liga games and have won four of their last six. Their 1-0 win at home to Valencia in February made it four wins and one draw from their last five home meetings with Los Ches and the visitors are winless in seven league away days, although they have scored in each of their last four trips.
Accumulator Tip
Kortijk have seen over 2.5 goals land in five of their last seven Belgium First Division A home games and both teams have scored in four of these. Westerlo’s last five league outings have produced an average of 4.2 goals-per-game, with over 2.5 goals and both teams to score landing in four of these.
Birmingham have lost their last seven away trips and they have one of the worst records on the road across the division. Coventry are slowly improving and they should make the most of the Blues’ issues on their travels.
Espanyol have scored at least two goals in eight of their nine Spanish Segunda Division home games, only failing to do so against league-leaders Leganes. Real Zaragoza are winless in their last four away games and have conceded six goals in this period, shipping twice in two of these trips.
Bet of the Day Tip
Lens have won four of their last five Ligue 1 games and they head to a Montpellier side who are winless in five matches. The hosts have won one home game in the league this term, while they’ve lost six of seven clashes against the top eight.
Coventry vs Birmingham Bet Builder Tip
Coventry to win
Birmingham have lost their last seven away trips and they have one of the worst records on the road across the division. Coventry are slowly improving and they should make the most of the Blues’ issues on their travels.
Ben Sheaf to have 2+ shots
Coventry midfielder Ben Sheaf has had 30 shots in 13 Championship appearances this season and has had at least two attempts on goal in seven of his last ten outings, including four shots in his last home outing.
Juninho Bacuna to have 2+ shots
Juninho Bacuna has attempted more shots (40) than any other Birmingham player this season and the 26-year-old had a massive seven shots in his last outing away from home. He has had two or more shots in five of his last six outings, totalling 22 shots in this period.
Krystian Bielik to be shown a card
Krystian Bielik has been booked six times in the Championship this season and was shown a yellow card in his last away appearance, with that being the Birmingham midfielder’s fourth booking in his last eight appearances.
Sky Super 6 Match Result Accumulator Tip
Manchester City have hit a bit of a rough patch lately but should be able to come through against Luton.
However, the visitors have only kept one clean sheet in their last nine Premier League games and both teams have scored in six of the seven league matches at Kenilworth Road this term, so the Hatters could find the net.
Both of these sides are struggling for wins right now, with the Blades winless in four matches and Brentford failing to win five of their seven away games this term.
The Bees have drawn four times in the league this season so, with the hosts scoring just 11 times this season, a low-scoring draw is the pick.
Brighton have won four of their last six in all competitions and should have the beating of the struggling Burnley, although a clean sheet could be beyond them.
Both teams have scored in all 15 of the Seagulls’ top-flight affairs this term so, with Burnley conceding at least three goals on six occasions this term, a high-scoring home win is on the cards.
Manchester United have won six of their last eight games in the Premier League but are unlikely to get a clean sheet against a Bournemouth side that have scored in each of their last eight.
Eight of the Red Devils’ nine top-flight wins this season have been by a single goal so they should scrape the three points again at Old Trafford.
Tottenham have fallen by the wayside over the last month or so and a 2-1 loss to West Ham in midweek left them with just one point from the last 15 available.
They have lost three of their last four games by a 2-1 scoreline and Newcastle, who have only kept one clean sheet away from home in the league this season, have scored exactly twice in two of their last four league trips.
Aston Villa have won 11 of their 12 competitive home games this season and claimed a huge scalp as they beat Manchester City at Villa Park in midweek.
Arsenal have lost three of their last seven on the road but, with Villa conceding in eight of their last ten at home, they should at least get on the scoresheet.
Euro 2024 Outright Tip
Belgium are unbeaten under Domenico Tedesco after 10 games, winning eight, and could be a serious threat at Euro 2024. They have a good mix of veterans with experience and young players coming through in their squad and a favourable group stage draw, so they look good outside candidates to challenge for honours.
Euro 2024 Group Winners Accumulator Tip
Germany are the big favourites to win Group A but underdogs Switzerland could be the way to go here. Germany have been out of sorts for a while and look vulnerable, and this efficient Swiss outfit may be the team who can take advantage.
Spain, Italy and Croatia have been lumped together, alongside Albania, in Group B. Spain are the clear favourites but it is worth remembering they finished behind Japan in the 2022 World Cup groups. Italy are the defending champions, but Croatia continue to surprise at major tournaments and as the outsiders of this big trio they look very backable here.
The Three Lions have what looks a fairly comfortable first round draw, expect them to top the Group C pile before harder tests further down the line.
The Netherlands look the biggest threat to French dominance in Group D, which will be completed by a play-off winner. France have topped their groups in every tournament since finishing second to England at Euro 2012, so back them to come out on top again.
Romania, Slovakia and a play-off winner join Belgium in Group E, and the Red Devils should be able to progress as group winners with relative ease here.
Portugal are the favourites in Group F ahead of Turkey, Czech Republic and the final play-off winner. The Turks beat Germany in a friendly this year and finished above Croatia in qualifying, so take a chance on them finishing above Portugal.
Underdog Best Bet Tip
Getafe are unbeaten in ten home La Liga games and have won four of their last six. Their 1-0 win at home to Valencia in February made it four wins and one draw from their last five home meetings with Los Ches and the visitors are winless in seven league away days.
A-League Double Tip
Wellington lead the way in the A-League after six rounds of fixtures and they remain unbeaten (W4, D2). Newcastle have lost three of their six games and the Jets look set for another defeat here.
Macarthur FC are unbeaten after six games, with three wins and three draws, and they can take at least a point at Sydney. The visitors triumphed 3-0 in the corresponding fixture last season, while Sydney have lost four of their six games and have just one win in three attempts at home.
11/4 A-LEAGUE DOUBLE WINNER ON FRIDAY
Experts' Accumulator Tip
Liam: Gladbach are steadily climbing the ranks in the Bundesliga and are in the mid-table positions with three of their four league wins having come since 28 October. They won at home to Hoffenheim last time out in the Bundesliga and can pick up a key away win on Saturday.
Tom: Augsburg will look to extend their unbeaten run to seven matches in the Bundesliga when they travel to the Weser Stadium to take on Werder Bremen.
Dan: Improving Bradford have won their last four matches and their revival under Graham Alexander can continue with a League Two home victory over struggling Salford.
Aidan: Wolves have been very hard to beat at home this season with only Brighton and Liverpool winning at Molineux in the league so far. Forest have failed to score in four of their last five games – all of which points to a comfortable home victory.
Alex: Dortmund have lost just one of their ten competitive home games this season and have won four of their last five. They face a visiting side that have struggled on the road of late.
The Perfect 10 Accumulator Tip
Dundee United are unbeaten in eight at home and have four wins in their last six. They can see off an Ayr side who needed extra time to overcome League Two Peterhead in the cup last time out and are on a five-game winless run.
Free-scoring Wrexham are averaging more than two goals per league game and their offensive prowess should set them apart from struggling Forest Green at the Bolt New Lawn. The Red Dragons can rack up an 11th league win of the season against ailing Rovers, who have gone four games without success.
Leicester have won five of their last six home games and the league leaders should be able to see off a Plymouth side who are winless on the road with relative ease.
Hibs had won three in a row prior to defeat at Celtic last time out. The Edinburgh outfit can get back to winning ways against struggling Livi, who have lost their last six.
The media narrative may suggest Manchester United are in disarray but six wins in their last eight league games suggests otherwise and the Red Devils can run out winners against Bournemouth.
Northampton have won three of their last four League One games, while Fleetwood have lost each of their last four across all comps without scoring. The Cobblers should be able to claim maximum points here.
Madrid have won six of their last eight league away matches and kept a clean sheet in four of them so bank on them keeping Betis at bay and two goals being enough to bring them three points.
Sporting have won 10 of their 12 league games, losing just once. Guimaraes are enjoying a good season themselves but they have fallen short against Portugal’s big guns – losing to Benfica and Porto – so expect the visitors to leave with the points.
Inter have won four of the last five meetings between these sides and they should have no issues against Serie A’s 16th-placed team. They have lost just once this season while their Udinese have managed only one victory in 18 league games, suggesting the points will be staying in Milan.
Burgos boast the best home record in La Liga 2 with 21 points from nine games (W6, D3). Mirandes have managed just one win in their last seven games across all comps and will struggle to get anything at the Estadio El Plantío.
Aston Villa vs Arsenal Bet Builder Tip
Ollie Watkins To Score Anytime
Ollie Watkins has ten goals for Aston Villa this season and has scored in four of his last six outings for club and country. The England international netted in a defeat to Arsenal the last time these teams met and has scored four goals in six league appearances against the Gunners.
Gabriel Jesus To Have 2+ Shots On Target
Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus is averaging 1.9 shots-per-game for the season and tends to be accurate, with 0.9 attempts per-game on target, 0.4 blocked and 0.1 off the post. The Brazilian has upped his output of late with 12 shots in total across his last four games – and average of three attempts per-game in that period – so he could well register two attempts on target at Villa Park.
Douglas Luiz To Be Shown A Card
Villa’s Douglas Luiz has four yellow cards in 15 Premier League games this term and has six bookings in all competitions. The midfielder averages 1.3 fouls per-game and has committed at least one foul in all of his league appearances at Villa Park this season, so he looks a strong contender to be shown a card.
Champions League Outright Winner Tip
Bayern Munich pushed Man City the closest of any of their Champions League opponents last term and the German side have addressed the issues which cost them. Harry Kane adds a new dimension to their attack while in Kim Min-jae they’ve added an elite defender who can perform on the biggest stage. Man City’s summer business has at best left them standing still, so look to a Bayern side who have closed the gap.
The Entertainers Accumulator Tip
Sporting Lisbon have won all six of their home league games, scoring multiple goals in five, while Gil Vicente have lost all five of their away league games, conceding 12 goals in total. A high-scoring win for the hosts is expected, but Gil Vicente have bagged in four of their five aways and can carry a threat.
Wolfsburg have been terrible on their travels and a 3-1 defeat at Bochum on Saturday was their sixth straight defeat on the road, while Gladbach have won their last four at home. The hosts have seen eight of their last nine finish with both teams scoring.
Liverpool’s 10 away games this season have all seen both teams score, but they head to a Sheffield United side who have lost their last two, shipping eight goals. The bottom side should be out of their depth, but they can breach the Reds’ backline.
Newcastle have managed one clean sheet on their travels this season in the league, but they’ve won four of their last six clashes with Everton. The Toffees have lost every league meeting with one of the top seven, so back the Magpies for a victory.
Hoffenheim can turn around their poor home record, with the fixture list easing up for them. Bochum have managed just one away win all season, including heavy losses at Bayern and Stuttgart. The hosts have seen both teams score in all but one of their league games, but they can make home advantage count in this clash.
Two of the best attacking sides in the Bundesliga meet on Saturday, but Leipzig have lost four of their last five trips. They should struggle against a Dortmund side who have won four of their last five home league games, but back both to score.
Man City’s defence has been far too open of late, shipping eight goals across their last three league games. The Citizens should outclass Luton, but the home side have seen BTTS land in five of their last six.
Mega Win Accumulator Tip
Eintracht Braunschweig are second-bottom in the 2. Bundesliga and they are yet to take a single point away from home, losing their seven trips by an aggregate scoreline of 15-2. Wehen Wiesbaden have won four of their last six league games and have only lost one of their seven home games this term, winning each of their last two at the BRITA-Arena.
Napoli were beaten 3-0 by Inter Milan last week, their third defeat in four. Juventus have won six of their last seven games and with 10 wins from 14 Serie A games this term they look good value for the win.
Getafe are unbeaten in ten home La Liga games and have won four of their last six. Their 1-0 win at home to Valencia in February made it four wins and one draw from their last five home meetings with Los Ches and the visitors are winless in seven league away days, although they have scored in each of their last four trips.
Lens have won four of their last five Ligue 1 games and they head to a Montpellier side who are winless in five matches. The hosts have won one home game in the league this term, while they’ve lost six of seven clashes against the top eight.
Bet to Net Mega Accumulator Tip
Ivan Prtajin is Wehen’s top scorer with six goals in 13 appearances and the 27-year-old netted a brace last time out, making it four goals in his last five appearances.
Wout Weghorst has fired into life for Hoffenheim and comes into Friday’s game having scored in four of his last five Bundesliga matches.
Javi Puado is Espanyol’s top scorer this season with nine goals in 14 appearances. He has scored five in his six home outings and scored twice in his last appearance on home soil.
Borja Majoral scored the winner when these sides met in February and has been in fine form this term, netting eight goals in La Liga. He has scored in five of his last seven appearances and can strike again on Friday.
Goals Galore Accumulator Tip
Hannover 96 have taken 13 points from the last 15 available at home and visitors Karlsruhe have taken just two points from their last six away games. Over 2.5 goals has landed in each of the visitors’ last six league assignments and Hannover have seen three or more goals in four of their seven home fixtures this term.
Excelsior are big underdogs for this one but they have scored in six of their seven Eredivisie away games this season, although they have only kept two clean sheets and six of these have gone over 2.5 goals. Twente have conceded in each of their last six league matches and over 2.5 goals has landed in five of these.
Kortijk have seen over 2.5 goals land in five of their last seven Belgium First Division A home games and both teams have scored in four of these. Westerlo’s last five league outings have produced an average of 4.2 goals-per-game, with over 2.5 goals and both teams to score landing in four of these.
Espanyol have scored at least two goals in eight of their nine Spanish Segunda Division home games, only failing to do so against league-leaders Leganes. Real Zaragoza are winless in their last four away games and have conceded six goals in this period, shipping twice in two of these trips.
Both Teams to Score Accumulator Tip
Benfica have conceded in half their Portuguese Primeira Liga games and will have one eye on a crucial Champions League tie with Salzburg next week. Farense are in good form right now, scoring ten goals in their last four league matches, with both teams to score landing in three of those.
Excelsior are big underdogs for this one but they have scored in six of their seven Eredivisie away games this season, although they have only kept two clean sheets and six of these have gone over 2.5 goals. Twente have conceded in each of their last six league matches and over 2.5 goals has landed in five of these.
Hoffenheim can turn around their poor home record, with the fixture list easing up for them. Bochum have managed just one away win all season, including heavy losses at Bayern and Stuttgart.
