Almeria and Cadiz will both compete in the Segunda Division next season after thoroughly disappointing campaigns but they could leave La Liga with something to cheer about when they come face-to-face at the Power Horse Stadium on Saturday.

The hosts are rock bottom of the division with just two wins and 18 points from their 37 league fixtures and are currently on a run of four consecutive home defeats – with the Rojiblancos failing to win in front of their home fans in La Liga this season.

Cadiz were making a late bid to complete a great escape but their survival hopes were ended with a goalless draw at home to Las Palmas, ending their four year stay in the Spanish top flight.

Both sides will likely be willing for their season to end as soon as possible so a lack of quality could be on show on Saturday. However, each of the last three meetings have ended all-square – and via a 1-1 scoreline – and so their may be goals in this one and a repeat result draws some appeal.
