Strasbourg are sixth in the table and Angers are 14th, and there is a gulf between these teams in the league. Back Strasbourg to pick up where they left off last week and win at Stade Raymond Kopa on Saturday.

They are eight places and 24 points above Angers in the table. Strasbourg have won 16 of their 32 games this season, while Angers are 14th with nine wins so far.

Strasbourg maintained their winning run last weekend when they beat a much-changed Paris Saint-Germain 2-1. The betting suggested there would not be much between the teams, but Strasbourg edged to victory to the delight of those who backed them at 7/5.

Angers’ struggles in front of goal are a big concern. They have failed to score in five of their last six home games in the league and have lost five of those matches without scoring.

Strasbourg are in excellent form, having won seven of their last nine Ligue 1 matches and gone unbeaten in 12 games. In contrast, Angers have lost seven of their last nine.

Angers have been struggling defensively at home, failing to keep a clean sheet in six of their last seven Ligue 1 games. They have conceded 32 goals from 16 matches on their own turf this season.

Angers could do with turning things around, having lost five of their last six home matches in Ligue 1.

No Ligue 1 team has played more matches with fewer than three goals this season than Angers’ 22, and they have suffered six 2-0 losses in 2024-25. A 2-0 away win for Strasbourg looks a decent correct-score bet.
