Red Devils’ scoring form to continue

Belgium continued their push for a place at the World Cup with a 6-0 thumping of Liechtenstein on Thursday night. However, the Red Devils are playing catch-up in terms of games, so they sit third behind Wales and North Macedonia.

Belgium have scored 10 times across their last two group games, after beating Wales 4-3 in June. Thursday saw the Belgians keep just their second clean sheet in 10 games since Euro 2024, but they flexed their muscles in attack without Romelu Lukaku to lead the line.

Kazakhstan have suffered back-to-back 1-0 defeats at home in qualifying, but they were beaten 4-1 in Belarus in June, after a 3-1 defeat in Cardiff in their first trip of this qualifying campaign.

Kazakhstan struggled defensively in the Nations League late last year, losing 5-0 at Norway, 4-0 in Austria, and 3-0 at Slovenia. They face a much stronger side on Sunday, with the Red Devils aiming to continue an impressive run which has saw them score 14 times across their previous four internationals.
