Can Sporting stage a comeback?

Dortmund have won once across their previous seven at home, while they were beaten 2-0 at Bochum on Saturday. Defensive issues have haunted them of late and they went into the weekend with over 2.5 goals landing in nine of their previous 10.

However, Sporting will need to improve if they’re to impact this second leg. The Portuguese champions were solid in the reverse clash, but they crumbled in the last half-hour to slump to a heavy defeat. Sporting have now lost four of their five games in Europe since Ruben Amorim departed, conceding 13 times.

Serhou Guirassy took full advantage of their struggles last week and the forward has now scored in each of Dortmund’s last five European games. The former Stuttgart man has netted a brace in their previous two home games in the Champions League, so he’s a good anytime goalscorer bet against this struggling Sporting side.
