      Cambridge United vs Luton Predictions

      • Cambridge have only failed to net in one of their last nine matches
      • Luton have scored in eight of their last ten games
      • Both teams have scored in seven of Cambridge’s 12 cup fixtures this season

      Cambridge up for another upset?

They may be lying in mid-table in League One, a division below Luton, but Cambridge pulled off a huge shock in the last round when they knocked out Newcastle, winning 1-0 at St James’ Park.

Their attack has been firing all season, with Mark Bonner’s side scoring in 18 of their 22 home games, including six of their seven cup ties at the Abbey Stadium.

Generally speaking though they have been conceding, and indeed head into this one without a clean sheet in three games, with both teams scoring in eight of their last 13 on home soil.

Luton out to back up league form

Luton have not reached the fifth round since 2012/13, their sole occasion in the last 16 since getting to the semi-finals in 1993/94, but if they can continue their form from the league, they should progress.

The Hatters are on the brink of the play-offs in the Championship and have won six of their last nine in all competitions, losing just once.

They are scoring plenty of goals, failing to net in just one of their last ten and are actually keeping them out at the other end as well, notching up six clean sheets on the road.

Luton may be defending well of late, but these are two good attacking sides, so I predict both teams will score, but think the Hatters could sneak into the fifth round, predicting a 2-1 away win for a correct score.
