Diego Gomez had five shots against Chelsea and should get opportunities against Leeds. After missing some good chances at Stamford Bridge, Gomez can make amends with an anytime effort on Saturday.

Youngster Josh King has been a bright spark for Fulham this season, scoring in the home defeat to Chelsea, and he is a player set for a big future and he can enhance his burgeoning reputation by adding another goal in this London derby.

Morgan Gibbs-White scored 18 goals for Forest last season and remains their talisman. He scored a penalty at Liverpool last week and can be a thorn in Tottenham’s side at the City Ground.

Brentford were dominant in their 3-0 win over Spurs in their first game of the season and put Birmingham to the sword shortly after. They can bounce back from their draw at Leeds against a Sunderland side that were thrashed 3-0 at this ground in January.

Burnley may be winless after four Championship games, but they look capable of upsetting sixth-placed Bristol City at Turf Moor. The visitors have shown defensive vulnerability, failing to keep a clean sheet in seven of their last eight league matches. Despite the contrasting starts, home advantage could help Burnley secure their first victory of the campaign.

Huddersfield have enjoyed two straight League One successes at home and they should be backed to win again when Notts County visit the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday.

Bristol Rovers are a force to be reckoned with on home soil and they can get the better of Rotherham in an entertaining encounter. Rotherham are showing more positive signs but they face a tough task at the Memorial Stadium, where Rovers have won all of their last nine league fixtures.

Roma could hardly have been more commanding in the opening two weeks of the Serie A season and, after beating both Fiorentina and Lecce 4-0. Atalanta have looked shaky in their first two games, and the Giallorossi can claim another win.

Atletico Madrid have had a solid start to the season with seven points from their opening three games and they can win at Athletic Bilbao, who have already lost 3-1 against Sevilla on their own patch.

A statement 3-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach in their curtain-raiser suggests Leipzig can succeed under Martin Demichelis, and they look far too strong for a Werder Bremen side who have conceded 10 goals in losing their last four league matches dating back to the end of last season.

Brest are one point ahead of Le Havre but there was more to like about the hosts’ 1-1 draw at Lyon and narrow 1-0 defeat to Monaco than the visitors’ stalemates with Le Mans and Toulouse. Expect Brest’s Ligue 1 winless run to be extended to 12 by a solid Le Havre.

Henry: Sheffield United were mighty fortunate to beat Bolton 3-2 at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night and the Blades could be heading for a home defeat when Norwich come to the Steel City. Norwich are going to set up well on the counter-attack this season, as they showed in wins against Burnley in the Championship and Cardiff in the EFL Cup.

Ian: There was enough to like about Fulham’s performance in losing their opener 3-2 at home to Chelsea to suggest they can see off London rivals Crystal Palace. Palace, now winless in their last nine Premier League matches, have more work to do following a 2-0 defeat at Everton and a 4-1 home humbling by Manchester City.

Tom: Newly-promoted Elversberg sent shockwaves round the Bundesliga with their 3-2 victory over Bayer Leverkusen on the opening weekend, a match that saw them race into a 3-0 lead. Gladbach were comprehensively beaten 3-0 by RB Leipzig in their league opener, and they have finished in the bottom half of the Bundesliga in each of the last five years.

Alex: PSV’s four Eredivisie games this season have featured a massive 20 goals and another thriller is expected in 2026/27’s first De Topper tie. Three of the last four meetings between these two rivals have featured at least four goals and both sides head into this tie in Amsterdam in fine goalscoring form.

West Ham host Derby at the London Stadium on Saturday in a game that has the potential to be a goalfest. Over 3.5 goals has been a winning bet in two of West Ham’s four Championship games this season and could be worth backing again.

Cambridge are adapting impressively to life in League One and they can remain in the top six by defeating Burton in Staffordshire. Neil Harris’s side won 2-1 at Bradford on Tuesday and they face an easier task against the Brewers, who are among the smaller clubs at the level.
