Inter Milan to Win and Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Inter have won six of their last eight games, five of which have contained over 2.5 goals, while Cremonese are still winless in Serie A this season. The Nerazzurri have seen 37 goals scored across their nine away league games, failing to keep a clean sheet, so entertainment is likely.

Inter Milan 2-1

Reason for tip

Inter have conceded 20 goals in nine road trips in Serie A this season, so a Cremonese side with five goals in their last three outings could land a blow, particularly with Milan Skriniar suspended. Inter beat the strugglers 3-1 in August’s return fixture, and should record another victory here.

Cremonese vs Inter Milan Predictions

  • Inter Milan have won six of their last eight games, five of which have contained a minimum of three goals.
  • Only Salernitana (37) have conceded more than Cremonese’s 33 goals against in Serie A this season.
  • 37 goals have been scored across Inter’s nine away Serie A matches this campaign.

Nerazzurri hopes hanging by a thread

While Juventus’ 15-point deduction will have been greeted with relief at Inter, one of the most likely teams to benefit from the Bianconeri’s crisis as they bid to seal a top-four finish, any hopes of catching runaway title favourites Napoli were surely dashed by Monday’s stunning 1-0 defeat at home to Empoli. With just three points separating second from sixth in the table, the Nerazzurri must bounce back quickly – starting with Saturday’s trip to Cremonese.

Inter have still won six of their last eight games despite Monday’s upset, and Simone Inzaghi’s men have also seen five of those matches contain over 2.5 goals, hitting the net 18 times in that run. Cremonese were swept aside 3-1 when the sides met at San Siro in August, and all the signs point to another watchable affair – 37 goals have been scored in Inter’s nine away league games this season. Inter, are, however, yet to keep a clean sheet on the road this term, so Cremonese could trouble them.

The hosts are still winless after 19 games of the campaign and are surely headed for an immediate return to Serie B. Davide Ballardini, has, however, overseen something of an improvement since taking charge, leading Cremonese to two draws in as many games – the first of which preceded a penalty shoot-out win over Napoli. Having hit the net five times in three games, they could land a blow, but only Salernitana (37) have conceded more than their 33 league goals against this term.

Goals likely as Inter bid to bounce back

With Inter boasting an excellent attacking record but consistently shipping goals on their travels, backing the Nerazzurri – who will also be without PSG-linked defender Milan Skriniar through suspension – to win a game containing over 2.5 goals appears prudent.

Meanwhile, a 2-1 away victory could offer correct score value. Cremonese have been more competitive since their change of coach, but Inter should prove too strong going forward.
