Denmark have the motivation

Euro 2020 semi-finalists Denmark can take top spot if they’re able to overcome defending world Champions France at the Parken Stadium and Croatia fails to beat Austria. They lost 2-1 away to Croatia on Thursday but a return to Copenhagen will be much welcomed considering they have not tasted defeat on home soil in over a year. However, despite that good form, they have not beaten a nation currently ranked higher than them at home in over 10 years.

The chance to defend their title has gone for visitors France, in fact, their status as a League A nation is still under threat as if Austria beat Croatia and Didier Deschamps’ men fail to claim a victory here, they will be relegated. However, Les Bleus will be confident as they have not tasted defeat in any of their previous 12 road matches.
