Derby vs Stoke City Predictions

Derby have enjoyed four straight Championship successes at home and they should be backed to win again when Stoke visit Pride Park on Monday.

They are eighth in the Championship, four places and six points above Stoke, with 17 wins from their 40 games this season.

The home side are hitting their stride. Derby have lost just one of their last six home games in the Championship.

Stoke, on the other hand, are in a rut. They have lost their last four Championship away games and have not won any of their last six on the road.

They are going through a barren spell in front of goal, scoring just 17 goals in 20 games on the road this season – an average of 0.85 goals a game away from home.

Stoke have failed to keep a clean sheet in 11 of their last 13 Championship games.

A 1-0 win for Derby looks the best correct-score option. Three of the Rams’ last four Championship games have gone under 2.5 goals and they have won two of their last three by the odd goal. Six of Stoke’s 16 defeats this season have also come via a 1-0 scoreline.
