Ecuador vs Uruguay Predictions

• Ecuador have lost their last seven World Cup qualifiers
• The hosts have drawn one and lost nine of their last 10 competitive games

Ecuador made a poor start in World Cup 2022 qualifying, as they were beaten 1-0 by Argentina. It was yet another blow for the hosts, who have suffered a defeat in three of their previous four internationals.

Meanwhile, Uruguay saw off Chile with a victory and they’re coming into this one having scored twice or more in their last three games.

The hosts have now lost their last seven World Cup qualifying clashes, while they went out of the 2019 Copa America with one point at the group stage. During that campaign they lost 4-0 to Uruguay and we see another defeat coming for Ecuador.

We’re going with a victory for Uruguay here as our first prediction, while we’re also backing a 2-1 victory for the visitors given that their last four matches have seen both teams score.
