Rapids can roll over Stam’s sloppy side

Saturday’s clash between Eastern Conference basement club FC Cincinnati and Colorado Rapids looks a little one-sided on paper.

Orange and Blue have taken just four points from their first seven games to remain anchored to the bottom and are yet to gain anything at home.

The Rapids are riding high in the west with four wins in their last five having taken them up to fourth place.

So it should be a fairly straightforward road win for Robin Fraser’s men and the oddsmakers certainly think so with the Rapids the shortest price of all away sides on this weekend’s MLS coupon.

It is seven games since Cincinnati last kept a home clean sheet, during which time they have shipped ten goals and scored a meagre five.

Jaap Stam’s men have been sloppy in defence and lack balance in midfield, which has often seen them go a goal down early in games too.
