Fleetwood Town vs Rotherham Predictions

History suggests to side with goals

Both teams have scored in six of the last eight meetings between Fleetwood and Rotherham. At least three goals have been scored in five of those contests and recent fixtures between these two have been particularly high scoring affairs. The last three meetings between these two sides have combined for 15 goals with the most recent contest, the reverse fixture this season, finishing 4-2 to Saturday’s hosts.

Highbury faithful set for another treat

Fleetwood Town season ticket holders have certainly received value for money this season. The youthfulness off their side might have a large part to play in the open, free-flowing games the home faithful have become accustomed to. In total 40 goals have been scored in 12 matches at Highbury this season, a number which can only be bettered by two teams in League One Ipswich (43) and Rotherham (45). Both teams have scored in eight of these matches whilst at least three goals have been scored in ten of Fleetwood Town’s home games this season.

Rotherham always good for a goal 

Rotherham are absolutely flying in the league this year and currently sit top of the pile. The Millers have been particularly good away from home this season and they tend to score when they go on the road. They have found the net in eight of their eleven away games this campaign. Rotherham have scored a least 2 goals the last three times they have played against Fleetwood and a high scoring affair looks on the cards once again.

All roads point to goals in this one and I am more than happy to follow suit. My main selection will be both teams to score and over 2.5 match goals and in the correct score market I will go for a 3-1 Rotherham win.
