Marco Silva’s Fulham are fourth in the Premier League form table, thanks to collecting 10 points from the last 12 available. The Cottagers tend to peak around this time of year, as they lost only three games in all competitions between December 1st and March 2nd last term.

This stretch tends to be when the Premier League’s top sides are stretched across multiple competitions, allowing Fulham to make the most of their fitness edge. They have climbed into 11th place in the standings, putting them only three points shy of the top five.

The Cottagers can continue that good run on Sunday when they host a Liverpool side who were frustrated by Leeds on New Year’s Day.

Improved Reds are low on numbers

Liverpool are unbeaten in eight, putting their rough Autumn behind them. However, their start to the New Year wasn’t ideal, as they were unable to break down a resilient Leeds side in a 0-0 draw at Anfield.

Arne Slot’s side are looking a little short on numbers, with Mo Salah at AFCON and four other players injured, including Alexander Isak.

The Dutchman has pushed Jeremie Frimpong forward to right wing across the last couple of games, which has seen him record season-high numbers for touches. Cottagers can match the champions

Liverpool have made progress in the last month, but the Reds haven’t really been tested on their travels in the league. They’ve lost all four visits to sides in the top 10 this term, while they’ve looked shaky in visits to Leeds and Tottenham in their previous two trips.

The visitors have drawn three of their last six league games, so this settled Fulham side should trouble them. The Cottagers have benefitted from a kind run since November’s international break, with only two of their nine matches taking place outside of London.
