Goals in short supply at Harrogate

Saturday’s clash between Harrogate and Chesterfield at the Exercise Stadium is unlikely to be a goal fest. Three of Harrogate’s four league games have ended with under 2.5 goals.

Chesterfield have won three of their opening four League Two matches, but Harrogate are a tough side to beat. They have avoided defeat in all four matches, winning most recently on Tuesday when they beat Barrow 1-0.

Harrogate’s 1-0 win over Barrow on Tuesday kept up their recent trend for matches with under 2.5 goals. Shawn McCoulsky netted the only goal in the 29th minute and, while the betting suggested there would not be much between the teams, Harrogate restricted Barrow to one shot on target.

Chesterfield suffered a 4-1 loss at Gillingham on Tuesday, but had previously conceded just one goal in wins over Barrow, Cheltenham and Bristol Rovers.

With Harrogate unbeaten in four, a narrow home success appeals, and a 1-0 correct-score bet catches the eye.
