Terriers a tough nut to crack at home

A strong summer of investment had Huddersfield hoping that they could make their presence felt in the League One promotion picture and four wins from their opening six games is a happy return for the Terriers.

Under new management in the shape of Lee Grant and, with an influx of new arrivals, it can often take time to acclimatise but Huddersfield will be pleased enough with how things have started.

Both of their defeats have come on the road at Blackpool and Barnsley, which is where improvement is required, but the Kirklees Stadium should be a fortress and they have won all three home league games to nil against Leyton Orient, Doncaster and Stevenage.

That spells trouble for a Peterborough side that are in complete turmoil, having taken only one point from six matches with the heat rising on manager Darren Ferguson.

Posh were hit hard with a raft of key departures in the summer and, while they made four deadline day signings to bolster competition, they are a side bereft of confidence and belief.

Peterborough have scored only twice in six league outings, showing a lack of firepower with blanks fired in their last two away defeats at Wigan and Exeter, and they may struggle to find a way past the Terriers.

Huddersfield can win to nil and a 2-0 correct score appeals for punters, which has been their margin of victory in this season’s league wins over Doncaster and Reading.
