Hull City to Win

Reason for tip

Hull have taken four points from their last two league matches and are fancied to hand their new boss, Liam Rosenior, his first win on home soil when they take on a struggling Reading side. Reading have won one of their last nine league matches (D2, L6) and currently have the third-worst away record in the Championship.

Hull City 2-0

Reason for tip

Reading have failed to score in each of their last two away matches and may struggle to breakdown a rejuvenated home side on Saturday.

Hull City vs Reading Predictions

  • Hull have taken four points from their last two league matches
  • Reading have won just one of their last nine Championship matches (D2, L6)
  • Reading have the third-worst away record in the Championship this season

Rosenior looks to have revived The Tigers

Liam Rosenior has seen his side take four points from his two matches since being appointed as Hull City’s Head Coach. Hull earned an impressive point at Millwall in Rosenior’s first game in charge, before taking maximum points in Wales on Tuesday. After a promising start, Rosenior will be relishing his first match on home soil and Hull are fancied to hand the former Derby man a first home win on Saturday when they host a struggling Reading side.

Injury hit Royals right up against it

Paul Ince has made no bones about his threadbare squad needing a break and the former Manchester United midfielder is looking forward to the mid-season hiatus. Reading have won one of their last nine Championship matches (D2, L6), a run which has seen The Royals plummet down the table. Reading’s struggles on the road remain a bug bare to Ince – Reading have taken just seven points from their ten matches on the road this season and they currently have the third-worst away record in the division. Reading will be without keeper, Joe Lumley and centre back, Tom McIntyre, for their trip north, a further blow to Paul Ince’s already depleted squad.

Hull to win in the outright market will be the main selection for Saturday’s game, with a 2-0 home victory forming the correct score prediction.
