Hull City vs Everton Predictions
- Both teams have scored in five of Everton’s last seven away fixtures
- Hull have only failed to score in one of their last eight outings
- Everton have only suffered one FA Cup defeat to lower league opposition in 11 years
Bigger battles elsewhere for Hull?
Given their struggles against relegation from the Championship, this is a game where Grant McCann may decide to rotate his side for more important tests that lie ahead.
Hull, who had a brief up turn in results when winning four in a row in November, come into his clash without a win in four and having been victorious in just three of their twelve games at the KCOM Stadium.
They have problems in defence, keeping only three clean sheets on home soil, but equally they have only failed to score three times, with both teams netting in four of their last five home and away fixtures.
Everton must end trophy drought
It is 27-years since the Toffees lifted their last piece of silverware, the 1995 FA Cup, and their fans are desperate to see their longest run without a trophy come to an end.
Manager Rafael Benitez is already under huge pressure after a shocking run of one win in twelve, and he knows he cannot afford to take this game lightly by resting some of his senior players.
The Blues have a couple of new signings available for selection that should strengthen a leaky defence that has kept just one clean sheet in 12 games.
Both teams have scored in their last five games, so they are not having problems scoring, similar to their Championship opposition.
I predict both teams will score in this one, but Everton will take the win and progress to the fourth round courtesy of a predicted 2-1 victory.
