Hungary to respond to setback

Hungary’s build-up to Euro 2024 took a bit of a hit this week as they suffered a 2-1 loss to a managerless Republic of Ireland side. The Hungarians could string a surprise this summer given the talent in their squad, but they’ll hope to pick up a victory ahead of their tournament opener against Switzerland next week.

Hungary would be concerned about shipping a couple of goals to a blunt Irish side and they head into this clash having seen both teams score in seven of their previous nine internationals.

Israel lost 4-1 to Iceland in their only game in March and they return to action having seen both teams score in three of their last four matches. This Hungarian side may be vulnerable at the back but they have options going forward, so back both teams to score in this one alongside a 2-1 home victory.
