Rangers to Win and Over 2.5 Match Goals
Reasoning
Kilmarnock vs Rangers Predictions
- Rangers have won five of their last six Premiership games
- Rangers have won five of the last six meetings with Kilmarnock with at least three goals scored every time they won
- Kilmarnock have conceded three or more goals in three of their four home league games this season
Rangers attempt to close the gap
Rangers will attempt to close the gap to the top two in the Premiership when they head to Rugby Park to face Kilmarnock on Sunday. The Light Blues have picked up 15 points from their last six league games and should feel confident of a win over Killie, who sit fourth bottom with just six points from seven games.
Kilmarnock may be in a slightly false position, however, because they have had a tough run of games and were juggling domestic with European commitments throughout July and August.
Derek McInnes has some talented attacking players at his disposal, but they have not quite found the right formula to keep the goals out at the other end yet.
Killie are conceding too many goals at home
Killie have conceded three or more goals in three of their four home league games this season and their backline could be in for another rough day against Rangers.
But Phillipe Clement’s men have not produced many emphatic wins yet either and are likely to be pushed hard by a home side that usually score against the Ibrox club. Both teams have scored in five of their last six meetings and at least three goals have been registered in just as many during that span.
Rangers have won all of those high-scoring contests and should be backed to get the three points again.
