KuPS fancied for comfortable success

KuPS hold a narrow lead at the top of the Finnish top flight but rivals SJK have two games in hand and are three points behind. KuPS couldn’t have hoped for a much easier game to continue their current run of four wins from their last five games however, facing the struggling VPS.

The home side have the second-best defensive record in the division and have managed to keep their opponents at bay in six of their last seven wins, so should be able to record a win to nil here.

VPS need to kickstart season

Eight defeats from their first 13 games has seen VPS hit the bottom of the table and despite beating Inter Turku last time out they remain in deep trouble. Their opponents were reduced to ten men in that clash so it’s hard to read too much into it. 

The visitors had failed to score in their previous three games and look likely to be frozen out once again by the league leaders. KuPS won 2-0 the last time these sides met and a similar scoreline is of interest.
