Leicester City to Win and Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Leicester are unbeaten in seven home games, winning six of those and they have averaged almost  three-goals-per-match across that period at the King Power Stadium.  With Swansea having been struggling for wins and shipping goals of late, this has all the makings of a routine Leicester win featuring plenty of goals.

Leicester City 3-0

Reason for tip

Leicester have won three of their last four home games by a three-goal margin and two of those, against Rotherham in the league and Birmingham in the cup, have finished 3-0, while Swansea conceded three in their last league fixture at home to Southampton.

Leicester City vs Swansea City Predictions

  • Leicester are unbeaten in seven home games, winning six
  • The Foxes have averaged almost three-goals-per-match across their last seven home fixtures
  • Swansea have conceded 10 goals across their last three matches

Foxes to get back on track in style

Championship leaders Leicester are without a victory in two league games, but they returned to winning ways with a 3-0 FA Cup triumph over Birmingham at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

That extended what is an impressive home record for Enzo Maresca’s side, as they are unbeaten in seven on their own patch, winning six of those games and averaging almost three-goals-per-match.

By contrast, Swansea are without a win in three, conceding 10 goals during that run, while their last two games have ended in a 3-1 league loss to Southampton and a 5-0 FA Cup thrashing at Bournemouth. This has all the hallmarks of a home win and one where Leicester can rack up the goals.

Swans struggling for form

After winning their first match following the appointment of Luke Williams as head coach, Swansea have since been struggling for results and conceding goals at an alarming rate.

That does not bode well ahead of their trip to the league leaders, especially as Leicester have won three of their last four home games by a three-goal margin.

Two of those victories, against Rotherham in the league and Birmingham in the FA Cup, have been by a 3-0 scoreline and it would be no surprise to see the Foxes replicate that this midweek.
