Betis to Edge Levante in Tight Affair

Real Betis look the best bet to win away at Levante on Sunday with Manuel Pellegrini’s side fancied to get the victory at Ciutat de Valencia.

They are eighth in the league, with five points from their four games, while Levante are 19th and have yet to win.

Levante could not break their losing run last time out, going down 2-0 away to Elche two weeks ago. They had just 32.9% possession, and Elche did all their scoring after the break – 86% of Levante’s goals against have come in the second half of their games this season.

The hosts look frail defensively. Levante have yet to keep a clean sheet after three Primera Liga games and have conceded at least twice in all three of their matches this season.

Levante’s poor form is a concern. All three of their Primera Liga games this season have ended in defeat.

Real Betis have been in fine form going forward, having scored in 31 of their last 33 Primera Liga games. They have found the net in 23 consecutive matches, including a 5-1 victory over Valladolid in April.

A 1-0 win for Real Betis looks the most likely correct score, with four of their last five Primera Liga games ending with under 2.5 goals.
