In-form Lille can claim another win

Lille have been scoring plenty of goals this season and they look the best bet when they host Lyon on Sunday at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Lyon are two places above Lille in the table, but both teams have won more games than they’ve lost this season. Lyon are third with four wins and one loss from their five games, while Lille are fifth with three wins, one draw and one defeat. This season, eight (80%) of the ten games between teams in the top half of Ligue 1 have been home wins.

Lyon’s recent away record in Ligue 1 is concerning, with four defeats in their last six games on the road.

The hosts are banging in the goals at the moment. Lille have scored three goals or more in two of their five Ligue 1 games this season, and no team has scored more in the league than their 13 goals overall.

Lille are in form, having won four of their last six Ligue 1 matches and enjoying success in nine of their last 11 home games. They have gone eight games unbeaten at home in the league.

They may be able to edge out Lyon in a close game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick. No Ligue 1 team has had more games with over 2.5 goals than Lille this season, and they have won two of their last three home matches 2-1.
