Lincoln City vs Blackpool Predictions

Lincoln have scored two goals or more in 19 of their 33 League One games this season and the best bet may well be that both teams score when they host Blackpool at Sincil Bank on Saturday. Lincoln have found the net in their last 18 league games, scoring at least twice in 14 of those.

Lincoln are second in League One, 16 places and 31 points above Blackpool, having won 20 of their 33 games this season. In contrast, Blackpool have ten wins from their 33 matches.

Lincoln have won seven of their last nine League One games and have gone 11 matches unbeaten at home. However, Blackpool have avoided defeat in five of their last six games against Lincoln. They have drawn their last two away games.

Both teams have shown defensive frailties of late. Lincoln have failed to keep a clean sheet in seven of their last nine League One games against Blackpool, who themselves have conceded on each of their last five road trips.

Scoring has not been an issue for Lincoln lately. They have scored in 18 games in a row and have averaged almost two goals a game in their eight League One home games against bottom-half teams this season.

For their part, Blackpool can take heart from the fact that both teams to score has been a winning bet in four of their last five League One away games.

Lincoln may be able to edge out Blackpool in a closely-fought game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick. Four of Blackpool’s last six League One games have ended with over 2.5 goals and ten of their 16 defeats this season have come by the odd goal.
