Macarthur FC host Central Coast Mariners on Thursday as both sides hope to find the win to keep their Finals Series run on course.

Macarthur have been in good form of late, going six games unbeaten and sitting in fifth place in their first season in the league. Their place in the Finals Series is by no means assured though and they need to maintain their good form to ensure a top six finish.

Central Coast have been the surprise package of the A-League, leading the league for a period before hitting some patchy form. They’ve only won two of their last ten but remain in fourth position, a far cry from their bottom place finish last season.

There have only ever been two meetings between these two sides but both have finished with under 2.5 goals and we think the same thing will happen here with Central Coast’s last four games all failing to beat the line too. We think Macarthur will have enough to win this game though and we’re forecasting a 2-0 win for the hosts.
