      Millwall to Win

      Reason for tip

Millwall have the best home record of any team in the Championship outside of the top two, taking 13 wins from their 23 games at the Den and they are fancied to add to that tally against Hull in this second leg of the play-off semi-final.

      Millwall 2-0

      Reason for tip

The first leg was a cagey affair and the second could be similar. Millwall have kept four clean sheets in their last six matches and are fancied to come out on top 2-0 in this crucial second leg at the Den.

      Millwall vs Hull City Predictions

      • Millwall have won 13 of their 23 home games
      • The Lions have kept four clean sheets in their last six games
      • Hull have only won two of their last nine matches

      Cagey first leg

Millwall were a touch unlucky not to win the first leg of the Championship play-off semi-final between them and Hull and they can make amends with victory in the home tie to send them to Wembley.

The Lions hit the post, had Femi Azeez’s shot well saved by Ivor Pandur and had a late goal disallowed so a goalless draw was probably a slightly harsh result in Hull but Alex Neil’s men have the quality to unpick the Tigers in the second leg.

Hull massively overperformed their expected goals figures all season, in fact only Sheffield Wednesday allowed more expected goals than the visitors in the Championship this term.

      Lions to roar at home

The Tigers’ clean sheet in the first leg was just their second from their last 13 outings and they now have just two wins from their last nine games before travelling to face a Millwall team who were rock solid at the Den this season.

Only the promoted teams Coventry and Ipswich won more home games than the Lions’ 13 and they should be too strong for this Hull side on their own patch, side with the hosts to progress to Wembley in 90 minutes.

Don’t expect an overly high-scoring game however, the first leg showed that play-off affairs can be cagey but Millwall are fancied to win 2-0.
