Estoril are one of the best away sides in Portugal

Estoril can enhance one of the best away records in the Portuguese top-flight when they travel to Moreirense on Tuesday.

The Canaries have been on song when on their travels this season, winning five and drawing two of their eight road trips so far. Only the ‘big three’ have scored more away goals than Bruno Pinheiro’s men, but seven of their 12 away strikes came in their first three road contests and the goals have dried up since then.

They have only scored more than once in one of their last five away from home and that could be a problem against a Moreirense side that is relying on home points to stay afloat.

Green and whites can escape with another draw

The Green and whites have taken six of their nine total points at home and were on a four-game unbeaten run at the Parque Desportivo Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas prior to a 1-0 reverse to Portimonense last time out.

Their overall home form, which includes a win over 11th-placed Arouca and a draw with eighth-placed Gil Vicente, suggests they can hold Estoril to a draw here. Although the draw price is tempting, backing the away side in the double chance market looks a safer play as the home side come into this after back-to-back 1-0 losses.

A 1-1 scoreline is forecast here, however, because Estoril average 0.8 goals scored and conceded across their last five away games.
