Hosts will rely on home comforts

Fourth-placed Motherwell welcome the new league leaders to Fir Park and will be looking to cause an upset here. However, it already seems unlikely given that the hosts have failed to win inside 90 minutes so far this year, despite five attempts. However, they are undefeated in their last five home Scottish Premier League matches and given that they’ve got an excellent record of finding the back on home soil, they’ll feel confident that they can create opportunities.

Celtic are on cloud nine after their emphatic 3-0 win in the Old Firm Derby during the week. They were formidable going forward but still gave up a few opportunities that Rangers were unable to capitalise on. The Hoops will be right up for this one and they have a remarkable record against Motherwell, winning all of their last 10 fixtures against Motherwell and scoring at least twice in their last four away games against the Steelmen.

Celtic defence to be breached

Whilst we’re expecting Celtic to come away with the victory, we do feel that Motherwell will cause them problems. They’ve scored in 10 of their 12 home league fixtures and with Celtic coming off of a high after their result against Rangers, we feel that the hosts can at least get on the scoresheet here, even if they do end up on the losing side.
