Norway and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Erling Haaland missed the reverse fixture between these two sides and the presence of Norway’s goal machine could make all the difference against a Georgia side licking its wounds after a record loss to Spain.

Norway 2-1

Reason for tip

There was little between these sides in the reverse fixture and Norway’s margin of victory may be kept to a minimum with Georgia fancied to continue their recent run of scoring in away games.

Norway vs Georgia Predictions

  • Norway are yet to keep a clean sheet in Euro 2024 qualifying
  • Georgia have found the net in seven of their last ten away games
  • Both teams have scored in four of Norway’s last five wins

Haaland rested and raring to go

Scotland fans hoping for the draw between Norway and Georgia that would confirm their qualification for Euro 2024 may be left disappointed with the home side likely to prove too strong for a downbeat Georgia side.

Norway are still in with a sniff of going to the finals in Germany next summer but sit two points behind second-place Spain having played a game more than La Roja, meaning anything other than a win on Tuesday would be a disaster.

Norway warmed up for the crunch qualifier with a 6-0 thrashing of Jordan in a friendly with Manchester City goal machine Erling Haaland kept on the sidelines for the morale-boosting victory.

Haaland will come back into the line-up for Tuesday’s clash and Norway sorely missed his presence in the reverse fixture in Tbilisi when being held to a 1-1 draw.

Georgia licking their wounds

That result is part of the four-point haul both sides have at the half stage in their qualifying campaigns, although Georgia head to Oslo in far worse shape than Norway off the back of their heaviest-ever defeat.

Spain cruised to a 7-1 success in Tbilisi on Saturday and Willy Sagnol’s men are liable to be low on confidence for this encounter.

If they can put that loss behind them, Georgia should be able to match Norway for the majority of the game and with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the field, they always pose a threat.

Haaland and Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard are likely to be the difference-makers for Norway, but the home side is yet to keep a clean sheet in Euro qualifying and may find it hard to shut out the visitors.
