PSG to Win

Reason for tip

Bayern Munich have won their last four meetings with PSG, but this is a very different side and Les Parisiens head into this clash having won eight of their last nine in all competitions. Bayern Munich beat Flamengo 4-2 last time out, but they had just four shots on target, lost the shot count 12-8, and allowed the Brazilian side 1.37 expected goals to their 0.91.

PSG 2-1

Reason for tip

PSG have averaged 2.5 goals per game so far in the Club World Cup, but Bayern Munich have the quality to get on the scoresheet after notching 17 goals across their four matches so far.

Achraf Hakimi To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Achraf Hakimi found the net again against Inter Miami, following on from his goal against Seattle Sounders. The attack-minded right-back now has a goal in five of his last eight appearances in all competitions.

PSG vs Bayern Munich Predictions

  • PSG have won eight of their last nine games in all competitions.
  • Achraf Hakimi has scored in five of his last eight appearances.
  • Bayern Munich lost the shot count 12-8 against Flamengo.

Hakimi can fire Les Parisiens to victory

PSG breezed past Inter Miami in their round-of-16 clash on Sunday, thrashing Lionel Messi’s side 4-0 to make it eight wins from their last nine matches in all competitions.

They have scored ten and conceded just one in their four Club World Cup ties, and they look justified favourites to beat fellow European giants Bayern Munich at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Bayern Munich also put four past their last-16 opponents, but their 4-2 triumph over Flamengo flattered the Bavarians, and the Brazilian side can count themselves unlucky not to have taken something from the game.

Vincent Kompany’s side had just four shots on target across the 90 minutes, were outshot 12-8 by Flamengo, and generated just 0.91 expected goals to the underdogs’ 1.37.

Bayern Munich have won their last four meetings with PSG, but they are a changed team since the turn of the year, and the Champions League winners look good value to progress on Saturday.

I do expect the free-scoring Germans to get on the scoresheet, though, and with PSG averaging 2.5 goals per game, a 2-1 correct score prediction appeals.

Anytime goalscorer punters may consider Achraf Hakimi after the attack-minded right-back found the net again in the last 16. The Morocco star has scored in five of his last eight appearances in all competitions and looks great value to add to his tally.
