PSG vs Bayern Munich Predictions
- Bayern Munich have won 17 and drawn two of their last 19 games.
- PSG have failed to win three of their seven Champions League home games this season.
- Harry Kane has scored 19 goals in his last 15 appearances for club and country.
Rampant Bayern can claim first-leg lead
Defending champions PSG play host to Champions League outright favourites Bayern Munich on Tuesday night, and the rampant Bavarians look primed to clinch a crucial first-leg lead.
Vincent Kompany’s side won a seven-goal thriller away to Mainz on Saturday, and their thick cushion at the top of the Bundesliga table afforded many of their stars a well-deserved rest, which could be a key component against a PSG side still in a battle for the Ligue 1 title.
That victory extended their unbeaten run to 19 matches and 17 of those have ended in victory, including each of their last nine fixtures. This streak encompasses a massive 6-4 aggregate win over Real Madrid, and hosts PSG have had their fair share of issues in front of their own fans this term.
Kane to continue phenomenal scoring streak
Les Parisiens recently lost at home to Lyon and have failed to win three of their seven home Champions League games this season, including a 2-1 defeat against Bayern Munich in the League Phase.
That was one of just nine starts for Bayern Munich this season in which Harry Kane has failed to score, but the England captain is expected to return to the scoresheet on Tuesday. He has notched an incredible 53 goals for the club this season and has scored in 14 of his last 15 games for club and country, netting a total of 19 goals in this period.
That should help Bayern to the win and, with PSG scoring in all but one of their home games this term, a repeat of the 2-1 scoreline from November’s meeting appeals.
