PSG vs Lille Predictions
- PSG have won their last five home games against Lille.
- Four of PSG’s last five home games have featured more than two goals.
- Both teams have scored in the last nine league meetings.
Lille need to get back in the groove
Lille sit fourth in Ligue 1 but they need to pick themselves up after losing 2-0 to Rennes and then suffering a 2-1 home defeat to Lyon in the Coupe de France, so a visit to champions Paris Saint-Germain has hardly come at a good time.
That Rennes defeat ended a run of four straight wins, which included a 4-3 victory at Auxerre that included three late goals and four red cards.
There have conceded at least twice in four of their last six games which is a concern, but as PSG are the only team to have scored more goals on their travels, they could find the net.
However, that may prove to be the summit of their achievements against a team who are just coming to the boil.
PSG looking to kick into gear
PSG have their own cup defeat to get over after they lost 1-0 to neighbours Paris FC, but their league form is strong enough to suggest it will not be long before they are overhauling Ligue leaders Lens.
Luis Enrique’s side have scored at least three times in four of their last six matches and Strasbourg are the only visiting team to have got anything from their trip to the Parc des Princes this term.
Lille will look to be positive after their recent setback, but that should only present the talented PSG attack with plenty of opportunities so expect the home side to claim victory in a high-scoring encounter with a 3-1 success of potential interest to correct-score punters.
