More goals for patchy Salford

Tranmere have scored in seven League Two games in a row and they should find the net again away at Salford on Saturday. The best bet is both teams to score at the Peninsula Stadium.

Salford are one place above Tranmere in the table, but they have played one game more. The hosts have won three and lost two of their six games this season, while Tranmere have two wins and one defeat.

Salford have been in patchy form recently, with three wins, one draw and two defeats in their last six League Two games. They have claimed seven points from recent games against three of the bottom five, but Tranmere have only lost one of their last nine away games.

Tranmere lost 2-1 to Notts County last weekend in their last League Two outing, with the visitors scoring all their goals after the break. Notts County had the chances to win by more and Tranmere will have been frustrated to lose having been priced at 13/10 to win the game.

Both teams have scored in four of Tranmere’s last six League Two away games.

The two teams have struggled defensively of late. Salford have yet to keep a clean sheet at the Peninsula Stadium this season, after three League Two home games, while Tranmere have failed to keep a clean sheet in three of their last four games against Salford.

A 2-1 away win for Tranmere looks a decent correct-score bet. Four of Salford’s six league matches this season have seen both teams score, so there should be goals for both sides here.
