      Scotland to Win

      Reason for tip

Scotland dominated Slovenia in the second half of their 0-0 draw in Ljubljana, and with the Tartan Army progressing under Sebastien Pocognoli, they can collect three points at Hampden Park.

      Scotland 2-0

      Reason for tip

Slovenia have scored only nine goals in their last 12 matches, while one or both teams have failed to score in each of Scotland’s last seven games. Take the Tartan Army to win 2-0 on the correct score market.

      Scotland vs Slovenia Predictions

      • One of both teams have failed to score in all of Scotland’s last seven games
      • Slovenia have won only two of their last 13 matches
      • Slovenia have scored only nine goals in their last 12 games

Scotland set for success over Slovenia

It is just the tart of in Sebastien Pocognoli’s reign as Scotland manager, but the early signs have been pretty encouraging.

The Tartan Army’s 3-0 loss to Switzerland has probably put top spot in the Nations League section beyond Pocognoli’s men, but Jack Hendry’s early red card can excuse that heavy defeat and the efforts against North Macedonia and Slovenia have been excellent.

Scotland hit 25 efforts on goal and created an expected goals figure of 3.45 in their 2-0 victory over North Macedonia on Saturday, and while the opposition wasn’t the strongest, the Scots haven’t often been putting up such strong attacking numbers.

The Tartan Army were held to a 0-0 draw by Slovenia, but they completely dominated the second half of their 0-0 draw in Ljubljana and the underlying numbers were once again excellent.

Scotland won the shot count 17-4 in Slovenia and the xG numbers of that tie finished 2.16 to 0.47 in favour of the Scots. Kieron Bowie gives Pocognoli a much needed attacking boost and it has been a far more forward-thinking approach from the Belgian.

That effort on the road has to give the Tartan Army an excellent chance of beating Bostjan Cesar’s men at Hampden Park.
