Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Goals at both ends could be on the cards in Seoul as Brazil have just one clean sheet in their last nine away games, while South Korea have some quality forwards in their side and they have scored in 13 of their last 14 outings.

Brazil 2-1

Reason for tip

Brazil’s away form has been poor but they have enough quality within their squad to pick up a friendly win on Friday. With goals at both ends expected, take a chance on a 2-1 win for the South American big guns as the Selecao have only managed to score more than twice in one of their last eight outings.

South Korea vs Brazil Predictions

  • Brazil have just one clean sheet in their last nine away games.
  • South Korea have scored in 13 of their last 14 games.
  • Brazil have named a strong squad for this pair of friendlies.

World Cup prep for South Korea and Brazil

Brazil and South Korea have already secured their places at World Cup 2026 and on Friday the two nations meet in Seoul in a warm-up clash ahead of next year’s showpiece.

Carlo Ancelotti has made a mixed start to life as Brazil boss with two wins, one defeat and a draw after four games. The Italian has inherited a side who have struggled recently on foreign soil – they have won just one of their seven away games and won just one of their four games at the last edition of the Copa America – so rectifying that with this pair of games in Korea and Japan will be a priority.

South Korea have never beaten a South American team at a World Cup so this should be a good test for them as well ahead of next year’s competition.

The Selecao are favourites to win but their road form is a concern and the better angle is perhaps the bigger price on offer for both teams to score. Brazil have just one clean sheet in their last nine away games, while South Korea have some quality forwards in their side and are generally good for at least a goal as they have scored in 13 of their last 14 outings.

The Taegeuk Warriors have only won two of their last five home games and Brazil have a strong enough squad to win this game, so a 2-1 win for the visitors seems a reasonable correct score prediction.

Ancelotti has plenty of options in attack and Chelsea forward Estêvão, 18, should feature in both friendlies. Estêvão scored his first senior goal during the last international break and comes into this clash after opening his Premier League account with a late winner against Liverpool, and if he is involved from the off he stands out as a potential anytime scorer.
