Stuttgart and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Stuttgart have won five of their six home matches this season but clean sheets have been hard to come by, so while they should still come out on top, they may concede against Werder Bremen, who notched twice in their recent draw at Wolfsburg.

Stuttgart vs Werder Bremen Predictions

  • Stuttgart have kept a clean sheet in just three of their last 20 home matches.
  • Their last six home games have all featured at least three goals.
  • Werder Bremen have lost seven of their last eight league matches on the road.

Stuttgart set to build on strong start

Stuttgart will be delighted to find themselves third in the Bundesliga table after 12 matches and their home form ahs been particularly impressive.

Hoffenheim recently grabbed a 3-2 win at the Mercedes Benz Arena, but Sebastian Hoeness’s side have won their other five on their own patch, which spells bad news for their visitors on Saturday, Werder Bremen.

There have been goals aplenty with 20 for the home side in those six games, but clean sheets have been hard to come by as Stuttgart have conceded on 17 of the last 20 occasions they have been entertaining in the league.

Bremen can still make their mark

Bremen desperately need to get their act together on the road and they were at least able to stop the rot when a 2-2 draw at Wolfsburg last time halted a run of seven straight defeats on their travels.

That result should have given them something of a lift, even if league leaders Bayer Leverkusen eased past them 3-0 last weekend.

However, that loss was only the second occasion in ten league games that Bremen have failed to score and they can at least do that even if they don’t win at Stuttgart, who are taken to claim a 2-1 victory.
