Roma’s season began in disappointing fashion as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Salernitana last weekend and they could be in line for more frustration at Verona on Saturday.

The hosts have won both of their games, beating Empoli away last weekend after a cup win against lower ranked opponents, and will feel they can get something out of this game.

The best bet here could be both teams to score as Roma have seen goals at both ends in each of their last five games, while their defensive vulnerabilities were shown again in their 2-2 draw last weekend.

Verona have hit four goals in two games this season and have scored in nine of their last 12 home games as well as managing just three clean sheets themselves in that period.

The 29-year-old Italy international seems determined to put that right this year and he scored both of his side’s goals against Salernitana, and he looks the best candidate for a goal at anytime.
