Roma to Win

Reason for tip

Verona are on a run of six defeats in their last seven outings, including each of the last three. Roma, although winless on the road, have tasted success in 18 of the last 27 head-to-heads and have picked up three victories in their last six Serie A matches.

Roma 1-0

Reason for tip

Verona have failed to score in two of their last three games, including a 1-0 defeat to Lecce last time out. Roma have kept two clean sheets in five away league games, while scoring exactly once in the last three.

Verona vs Roma Predictions

  • Verona have lost six of their last seven outings
  • Roma are on a run of three wins in six Serie A fixtures
  • The hosts have picked up just three victories in the last 27 head-to-heads

Verona not proving so fair at the moment

Verona look in big trouble in Serie A, with a run of losses wins from their last seven outings meaning they sit just one point outside of the relegation zone ahead of this round.

Some of those defeats have been by a worryingly high margin too, going down 6-1 to Atalanta and suffering a 3-0 reversal against fellow-strugglers Monza in recent weeks.

Indeed, it has hardly been the start to life as manager that new boss Paolo Zanetti, with his side having the worst defence in the division, already conceding 22 goals.

Will Roma end winless run on the road?

Looking to take advantage will be opponents Roma, who are yet to pick up an away victory in Serie A this season, with four of their five matches ending all-square.

They have, however, found some form under new manager Ivan Jurić, winning three of their last six league fixtures, beating Udinese, Venezia and Torino.

That should give I Giallorossi fans some reason to be confident, as should the fact their side have lost only three of the last 27 head-to-heads, tasting success on 18 occasions in the process.

I predict that Roma will win this game, with 1-0 my correct score prediction.
