Can Villarreal keep going?

Villarreal lost their last league game 1-0 against Real Betis, but they bounced back emphatically in midweek, winning 2-1 in Israel against Hapoel Be’er Sheva in the Europa Conference League.

That was a far from easy fixture for Unai Emery’s side, who sit in fifth place in La Liga, winning three of their opening five matches.

The Yellow Submarine are on a strong run at La Ceramica too, where they have picked up three victories out of three and lost just two in their last 16 league outings.

Are Sevilla finding form?

Sevilla have had a shocker at the start of the 2022/23 campaign, but they finally picked up their first win of the season in their last league game, beating Espanyol 3-2.

Julen Lopetegui’s side followed that up by drawing 0-0 in Denmark against Copenhagen in midweek, but had previously lost three successive matches.

Their away form, despite the win at Espanyol, is concerning over a long period too, as they have beaten just two of their last dozen opponents on the road.
