The French Open’s Round of 64 saw our Tennis Expert in top form, landing a 19/1 Tennis Odds Accumulator on Thursday afternoon!

The Accumulator was made up of 5 legs and it went as follows:

British number one Kyle Edmund got us off to the perfect start with his second round win over Marton Fucsovics. For the accumulator we needed Edmund to beat Fucsovics by a score of 3-1, which he duly delivered. After taking the first set 6-0, Edmund suffered a bit of a wobble in the second as Fucsovics took it 6-1. However, Edmund stepped it up a level from there as he dropped just five more games throughout the whole match to win 3-1 and get the accumulator rolling.

Last year’s US Open finalist Kevin Anderson was the next man we needed a result from for our accumulator, and the South African delivered for us. We just needed a win from Kevin Anderson to keep the accumulator going and after sharing the opening two sets against his opponent Pablo Cuevas, he did just that. The pivotal moment of the match came in the third set as it went to a tiebreak, and in a close breaker it was Anderson who did enough to go 2-1, before going on to close out the victory in the next.

The ‘King of Clay’ Rafael Nadal was next to step up for our accumulator, and it’s came as no surprise to see him deliver for us. We needed the Spaniard to win in 3 straight-sets against Guido Pella, and it proved to be no problem for the defending champion. Nadal ran off 3 straight-sets of 6-2, 6-1 and 6-1 to march on to the third round and keep our accumulator alive!

It was time to turn to the women’s competition for the next leg of our accumulator, as we needed former world number one Angelique Kerber to record a 2-0 victory over Ana Bogdan. Kerber wasted no time in getting the job done for us as she raced to the finish line in two comfortable sets of 6-2 and 6-3. This left us just one leg away from our Acca landing!

It finally all came down to Argentine star Diego Schwartzman, who we needed to defeat opponent Adam Pavlasek 3-0. We felt confident with this since Schwartzman had made light work of his previous match in winning in straight-sets, and history would repeat itself in this one. Schwartzman stamped his authority on the match early on by winning the first set 6-1. It was plain sailing from there as he dropped just four more games in the last two sets to come out a 3-0 victor and help land us our 19/1 tennis accumulator!
