The acca was looking good but just before half-time it started to look great as goals were going our way with Atletico, Juventus & Liverpool scoring and going in to the break in front. Salzburg, Chievo & Ajax didn’t take long to get on the scoresheet early on in the second half and things really started to look promising.
Eventually, five of the six teams had all but won their games as Salzburg, Chievo, Juevntus, Ajax & Liverpool all lead by more than one goal and it came down to one of the best defences in Europe in Atletico Madrid holding on to their 1-0 lead at Athletic Bilbao.
