33/1 Bet Builder tip for Crystal Palace vs Man City

The second round of Premier League fixtures begins with a Friday night clash between Crystal Palace and Manchester City at Selhurst Park.

Pierre Sage’s Palace tenure got off to a rocky start as they went down 2-0 at Everton, although they perhaps performed better than the result suggests.

New City boss Enzo Maresca saw his side fight back from a goal down to beat Bournemouth 2-1 thanks to two late goals from Marc Guehi and Josko Gvardiol.

We’ve got the game covered in our dedicated Match Predictions section and now I’ve put together this 33/1 Bet Builder tip for Friday’s game.

Marc Guehi to have 2+ shots

Guehi missed a great chance for City against the Cherries but atoned for that error by getting on the scoresheet. The defender averaged over a shot per game for City in the league last season after leaving Palace for Manchester and he stands out at a big price to have at least two attempts against his former club. Guehi is a threat from set pieces and he had two attempts when these sides last met in May last season.

Daichi Kamada 3+ fouls involvements

Crystal Palace midfielder committed one foul and was fouled twice himself against Everton last weekend. The Japan international committed on average over a foul per game last season and was fouled exactly once per game himself. It will be a busy evening for the Palace engine room and Kamada looks a contender to be involved in at least three fouls.

Erling Haaland to have 2+ shots on target (including woodwork)

Erling Haaland didn’t manage to score against Bournemouth but he did record five shots, with two of those on target. City’s Norwegian superstar may well open his account for the campaign on Friday and he can at the very least force two saves.

Adam Wharton to be shown a card

Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton picked up six yellow cards in the Premier League last season and had a further three cautions in the Eagles’ Conference League campaign. At a fairly big price, Wharton appeals as a candidate for a card.
