FA Cup Player Props treble

Burton vs West Ham

El Hadji Malick Diouf to register an assist

Two teams struggling in their respective divisions face off as Premier League strugglers West Ham visit League One relegation candidates Burton in tomorrow’s opening FA Cup tie.

The Brewers have been very leaky at the back recently, conceding at least twice in eight of their last nine league games.

They have been particularly vulnerable in the air, only two teams have conceded more headed shots than Burton’s 81 and their tally of nine headed goals conceded also ranks second in the third tier.

El Hadji Malick Diouf is the best crosser of a ball at West Ham and has already racked up four assists in 18 Premier League starts this term.

With the hosts likely to sit off their opponents, expect Diouf to get plenty of opportunities to cross from deep on the left and he looks a tempting price for an assist.

Aston Villa vs Newcastle

Joe Willock to have a shot on target

With injuries to Joelinton, Bruno Guimaraes and Lewis Miley in recent weeks, Joe Willock has gotten more of an opportunity in Newcastle’s midfield.

The former Arsenal man is a real threat on the break, often stretching the defence from the left side. He is particularly effective in this role away from home and it is notable that all four of his shots on target this term have come on the road.

Willock had a goal narrowly disallowed and three shots, one of which was on target, against Tottenham in midweek and should have put away a golden opportunity against Brentford last weekend. Side with the midfielder to have a shot on target at Villa Park.

Liverpool vs Brighton

Florian Wirtz anytime goalscorer

Florian Wirtz is growing into his first season as a Liverpool player and he was a persistent thorn in Sunderland’s side on Wednesday, with five shots, two of which were on target.

The German now has 13 shots on target in his last 13 games and has scored six times in that spell. The Reds are taking on a Brighton team who are reeling and may be without Carlos Baleba, who was withdrawn after 22 minutes against Aston Villa in midweek, leaving them looking vulnerable in the middle of the park.

Wirtz could be the man to take advantage of that and looks a solid bet to extend his good recent run with a goal in the cup.
